Matthew Hudson-Smith breaks the European 400m record
Continuing his excellent early season form, when he ran a personal best in the 200m, Matthew Hudson-Smith has lowered his own European record in the 400m.
In a strong field in Oslo he stormed to the front and was never really challenged recording a time of 44.07 seconds, very close to the magic 43 seconds for 400m runners. It bodes well for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris where the 400m will be a highly contested race and he is hoping to go one better than his silver medal at the World Championships in 2023.
