Birchfield help Levelling the Playing Field celebrate their 2023 awards
Birchfield Harriers was delighted to support the national awards of Levelling the Playing Field at the Alexnader Stadium.
Young people, role models, leaders and dignitaries from across the country were united in celebration at Saturday’s 2023 Levelling the Playing Field National Awards at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. Levelling the Playing Field uses the power of sport and physical activity to improve health and life outcomes for ethnically diverse children who are more likely to enter, or are already involved with the Criminal Justice System.
The Awards highlighted the incredible impact made by people and partner organisations within the LtPF network to prevent and divert children from entering the Criminal Justice System.
The event saw winners from four Regional Awards earlier this year in their delivery areas of London, the West Midlands, South Yorkshire and Gwent, all who were entered into the national awards, with overall winners determined by a specialist panel.
Birchfield Harriers was delighted to support this very worthy cause by providing coaching sessions, led by chair, Tony Hadley. Supported by other specialist cocahes including long jump coach Kevin Reeve, all the youngsters who attended got the opportunity to try a range of events.
